Tokenized Asset
A tokenized asset is an asset whose ownership, economic rights or other interests are represented using digital tokens on a blockchain. For example, a token might represent an interest in real estate, a government bond, a fund or a commodity.
Why it matters to you
Buying a tokenized asset is not necessarily the same as directly owning the underlying asset. The legal structure determines what the token holder actually owns, what rights they receive and what happens if the issuer or another party involved fails.
