Reconciliation

Reconciliation is the process of comparing records from different systems or parties to confirm that they agree. For example, records of tokens in circulation may need to be compared with investor records, custodial records or information about underlying assets.

Why it matters to you

Tokenization often connects blockchain infrastructure with existing financial and legal systems. If the onchain record says one thing while the custodian or administrator records something different, the discrepancy needs to be identified and resolved. Reliable reconciliation helps keep those different layers aligned.
