Token Supply

Token supply refers to the number of tokens that have been created or are currently in circulation. For tokenized assets, the supply may correspond to a defined number of shares, units, claims or other interests in the underlying structure.

Why it matters to you

Investors should understand whether new tokens can be issued and what controls exist around their creation. For asset backed structures, changes in token supply may also need to correspond with changes in the assets or financial claims supporting those tokens.
