Minting
Minting is the process of creating new tokens on a blockchain. In an RWA structure, tokens may be minted when new investment interests are issued or when additional assets enter the tokenized structure.
Why it matters to you
Minting changes the supply of tokens. For asset backed products, investors should understand how and when new tokens can be created and whether their issuance is appropriately connected to the assets or rights they are supposed to represent.
