Custodian
A custodian is an organization responsible for safeguarding assets on behalf of clients or investment structures. Depending on the asset, custody may involve securities, cash, physical assets, digital assets or the credentials used to control blockchain based assets.

Investors need to know who actually safeguards the assets involved in an RWA structure. The token may exist onchain while the underlying securities, cash, gold or other assets are held by a separate custodian.
