Public Address
A public address is an identifier used to send, receive and track assets or transactions on a blockchain. It can usually be shared publicly and is different from the private credentials used to authorize transactions.
Why it matters to you
Tokenized assets may be assigned to blockchain addresses, allowing ownership and transfers to be recorded onchain. For permissioned RWAs, an address may also need to be approved or linked to a verified investor before it can receive certain tokens.
