Prospectus
A prospectus is a formal disclosure document providing information about an investment offering, issuer and relevant risks. Whether a prospectus is required, and what it must contain, depends on the type of offering and applicable securities laws.
Why it matters to you
Blockchain data can show what happens to a token onchain, but it does not replace the legal and financial information investors may need about the investment itself. Disclosure documents can explain the issuer, structure, risks, rights and terms that cannot be understood simply by looking at a token contract.
