Disclosure

Disclosure is the provision of information that investors or other market participants need or are legally entitled to receive about an investment, issuer or transaction. Depending on the product, this can include financial information, risks, fees, conflicts, ownership structures and investment terms.

Why it matters to you

Transparency onchain and financial disclosure are not the same thing. A blockchain may show token transfers perfectly while telling investors very little about the finances of the issuer, the condition of the underlying asset or the legal rights attached to the investment.
