An aggressive seller is a market participant who accepts available buy prices to execute immediately rather than waiting for buyers to trade at a higher ask. This commonly involves selling at the bid or otherwise removing buy side liquidity.
Why it matters to you
Aggressive selling shows willingness to accept the currently available buying price. If aggressive selling becomes substantial but price refuses to move materially lower, traders may look for evidence that the selling is being absorbed.
