Uncertainty

Uncertainty describes the fact that the future outcome is not known and that probability estimates themselves may also be imperfect.

Why it matters to you

A trader may estimate an outcome at 65%. That does not mean the true probability is exactly 65%. Recognising uncertainty encourages better position sizing, wider probability ranges and less confidence in small apparent edges.
