Trustee

A trustee is a person or organization that holds or administers assets or rights under a trust arrangement for the benefit of specified beneficiaries. The trustee's responsibilities are determined by the trust documents and applicable law.

Why it matters to you

Some investment and RWA structures use trusts to hold assets or protect particular investor interests. If a trustee appears in the structure, investors should understand what the trustee controls, whose interests it is responsible for and how that role interacts with the issuer and other service providers.
