Tokenized Bonds

Tokenized bonds are bonds whose ownership, issuance or investment interests are represented using blockchain based tokens. Like conventional bonds, they may involve an investor lending money to a government, company or other borrower in return for agreed interest payments and repayment according to the bond's terms.

Why it matters to you

Tokenization can change how bonds are issued, recorded, transferred and settled, but it does not remove traditional bond risks. Investors still need to consider the issuer, coupon, maturity, credit quality, market value and likelihood of repayment.
