Taker Volume
Taker volume measures trading volume generated by orders that execute against liquidity already available in the market. It can often be separated into aggressive buying and aggressive selling activity.
Why it matters to you
Taker volume helps traders see how much aggressive execution is occurring. Comparing buy side and sell side taker volume can provide information about which side is more aggressively crossing the spread.
