Slippage

Slippage is the difference between the price expected when placing a trade and the average price at which the trade actually executes. It often occurs when there is not enough liquidity available at the expected price to fill the entire order.

Why it matters to you

A tokenized asset may show an attractive market price, but that does not mean a large investment can actually be bought or sold entirely at that price. Slippage reveals an important difference between the price you see and the price you can realistically trade at.
