Self Custody

Self custody means directly controlling the cryptographic credentials used to access and authorize transactions involving your blockchain based assets. Instead of relying on an exchange or third party to control those credentials, the user manages them directly.

Why it matters to you

Some RWAs can be held in self custody wallets, giving investors direct control over the token. But self custody of the token does not necessarily mean you personally hold or control the underlying real world asset. A custodian or legal entity may still hold the asset that supports the token.
