Liquidation Imbalance
A liquidation imbalance describes a meaningful difference between the amount of long and short positioning being liquidated, or estimated to be vulnerable to liquidation, depending on the dataset being used.
Why it matters to you
A large imbalance can show which side of the leveraged market is currently experiencing greater forced position reduction. It can also help traders identify where positioning has become particularly vulnerable.
