Liquidation Data
Liquidation data tracks leveraged positions that have been forcibly reduced or closed after reaching a trading platform's liquidation conditions. It may include information such as liquidation value, direction, price, time and trading venue.
Why it matters to you
Liquidations show where leveraged traders have actually been forced from positions. Large liquidation events can reveal periods of excessive leverage, market stress and forced buying or selling. Liquidation data describes events that have occurred. It should not be confused with estimates of where future liquidations may occur.
