Limit Price

The limit price is the price specified by a trader when placing a limit order. It defines the price boundary at which the trader is willing to execute according to the order's direction and conditions.

Why it matters to you

Setting a limit price does not guarantee the order will trade. It controls acceptable execution price, not whether sufficient liquidity will become available to fill the order.
