Governance Rights
Governance rights give investors or token holders the ability to participate in certain decisions relating to an asset, company, fund or protocol. These rights may include voting on specific proposals, appointing representatives or approving certain changes, depending on the structure.
Why it matters to you
Holding an investment does not necessarily give you a say in how it is managed. Understanding governance rights tells you whether token holders have any decision making power or are primarily entitled to economic benefits.
