Fractional Ownership
Fractional ownership allows an asset or investment to be divided into smaller ownership interests rather than requiring one investor to purchase the entire asset. Tokenization can provide digital infrastructure for issuing and transferring these smaller interests.
Why it matters to you
Fractional ownership can reduce the amount of capital needed to gain exposure to assets that may otherwise require a large investment. However, owning a fraction does not automatically guarantee liquidity, voting rights or direct legal ownership of the underlying asset. Those depend on the investment structure.
