Clearing
Clearing is the process between trade execution and final settlement in which transaction details and obligations are confirmed and prepared for completion. In traditional markets, clearing infrastructure can also help manage what each party owes and reduce certain counterparty risks.
Why it matters to you
Clearing is part of the financial infrastructure most investors rarely see. Some tokenized market designs aim to simplify or automate parts of this process by allowing ownership records and transactions to operate through shared digital infrastructure.
