Call Option
A call option gives its buyer the right, but not the obligation, to buy the underlying asset at the option's strike price according to the contract's terms.
Why it matters to you
Calls are commonly used when a trader expects the underlying asset to rise, although calls can also form part of hedging, income and multi leg strategies. A call becoming more valuable is not determined by direction alone. Time, implied volatility and other pricing factors also matter.
