Regulator
A regulator is a public authority or other legally empowered body responsible for overseeing particular markets, institutions or financial activities. Its powers and responsibilities depend on the jurisdiction and regulatory framework.
Why it matters to you
There is no single global RWA regulator. Different authorities may oversee securities, banking, digital assets, funds, markets or other activities, sometimes even within the same country. Understanding which regulator oversees which activity is more useful than simply asking whether a project is regulated.
