Premium

A premium occurs when an asset or token trades above a relevant reference value. For example, a tokenized investment trading at $102 while its underlying reference value is $100 would be trading at a 2% premium to that reference.

Why it matters to you

Tokenized assets can sometimes trade at prices that differ from the assets or values they reference. A premium may arise because of supply and demand, liquidity, market access, trading hours or difficulties creating or redeeming tokens.
