Market Value
Market value is the price an asset or investment can currently command in the market. For a traded tokenized asset, this may be the price buyers and sellers are currently willing to transact at.
Why it matters to you
Market value and underlying asset value are not always the same. A token can trade above or below another measure of its underlying value because of liquidity, supply and demand, market conditions or differences in how easily the token can be redeemed.
