Positive Theta
Positive Theta means the position tends to benefit from the passage of time, all else equal. Option selling strategies often have positive Theta.
Why it matters to you
Positive Theta does not mean guaranteed profit. A short option position may benefit from time passing while still losing substantially because of an adverse underlying move or volatility increase.
