Positive Funding
Positive funding describes a funding rate above zero. In the common perpetual futures model, traders holding long positions pay traders holding short positions when funding is positive.
Why it matters to you
Persistently positive funding can indicate strong demand for leveraged long exposure. But positive funding is not automatically a bearish signal. It tells you something about the cost and positioning of the market, not what price must do next.
