Portfolio Risk
Portfolio risk is the combined risk created by all positions held within a trading portfolio. It considers more than the risk of each trade individually because positions can share similar market exposure.
Why it matters to you
A trader might hold: Long BTC Long ETH Long SOL and think they have three independent trades. In a broad crypto selloff, all three may move against the trader together. The portfolio may therefore contain considerably more common directional risk than the number of positions suggests.
