Market Price

Market price is the current price at which a prediction contract is trading or available to trade. In prediction markets with binary contracts whose payout structure supports probability style interpretation, price is commonly expressed as a monetary amount or equivalent percentage.

Why it matters to you

Prediction market prices do two jobs. They determine the price at which you can trade. And they can provide an implied probability of the outcome. A contract trading around $0.63 in a structure paying $1 if correct is commonly interpreted as the market pricing the outcome at approximately 63%.
