Know Your Business (KYB)

Know Your Business, usually shortened to KYB, refers to processes used to verify a business or other legal entity before entering into a financial relationship with it. This can include checking the entity's registration, ownership, controlling persons and other relevant information.

Why it matters to you

RWA markets involve companies as well as individual investors. An institution, fund, SPV or corporate investor may need to complete KYB checks before participating in an issuance, opening an account or using particular financial services.
