Immediate or Cancel (IOC)
Immediate or Cancel, or IOC, instructs the platform to execute as much of an order as possible immediately and cancel any remaining unfilled portion.
Why it matters to you
IOC can be useful when a trader wants immediate execution but does not want the unfilled remainder of an order left resting in the market. It can result in a partial fill.
