Event Dependency
Event dependency exists when the occurrence of one event changes the probability of another event.
Why it matters to you
Many prediction market outcomes are connected. A central bank decision may depend partly on inflation. A company's product launch may affect the probability of reaching a business milestone. A political result may alter the probability of subsequent policy action. Treating dependent events as completely separate can lead to poor probability estimates.
