Contract Size

Contract size defines how much exposure one derivative contract represents. Depending on the market, one contract may represent a fixed quantity of an asset, a fixed monetary value or another amount specified by the exchange.

Why it matters to you

Entering "10 contracts" does not necessarily mean the same amount of exposure across different markets. Before placing a trade, traders should understand what one contract actually represents and how that translates into total position size.
