Account Equity
Account equity represents the current value of a trading account after relevant profits and losses are taken into account according to the platform's calculation. In many systems, unrealized PnL affects account equity while positions remain open.
Why it matters to you
Account equity gives traders a more complete picture of their financial position than looking only at the recorded account balance. If open positions move against the trader, account equity can fall even before those positions are closed.
