Unusual Options Activity

Unusual options activity describes options trading that appears significantly different from the contract's normal or expected activity. This might involve unusually high: volume, premium, trade size, or activity relative to existing open interest.

Why it matters to you

Unusual activity may draw attention to a contract or underlying. But it does not automatically reveal: whether the trader is bullish or bearish, whether the trade is speculative or a hedge, or whether the option is part of a larger multi leg position.
