Secondary Source

A secondary source interprets, reports or analyzes information originating elsewhere. Examples include news reports, research articles, analyst commentary and social media summaries.

Why it matters to you

Secondary sources can make complex information easier and faster to understand. But they may omit context, introduce interpretation or contain errors. For important trades, checking the underlying primary source where possible can materially improve research quality.
