Scaling Out
Scaling out means reducing a position gradually through multiple exits rather than closing the entire position at once.
Why it matters to you
A trader may take partial profits at one target while leaving part of the position open for a larger move. Scaling out changes the remaining exposure and the final reward profile of the trade.
