Retest
A retest occurs when price returns to an important level after previously breaking through or moving away from it.
Why it matters to you
A retest allows traders to observe whether the market continues to accept the new structure. For example, previous resistance may be retested after a breakout and potentially begin acting as support. A retest does not guarantee the level will hold.
