Real Estate Debt

Real estate debt is money lent to finance property or property related projects, usually with repayment obligations and often with property or related assets serving as collateral. Tokenized structures can provide investors with digital interests in this debt.

Why it matters to you

Investing in real estate debt is different from owning equity in property. Debt investors primarily depend on the borrower making payments, while property equity investors participate more directly in rental income and changes in the property's value. Understanding which side of the capital structure you own is important.
