Options Positioning

Options positioning refers to the distribution and characteristics of outstanding options exposure across strikes, expirations, calls, puts and other dimensions.

Why it matters to you

Analyzing positioning can help identify where substantial options exposure exists and where hedging or expiration effects might become relevant. But public positioning data does not provide a complete map of every participant's strategy.
