Option Leg
A leg is one individual component of a multi position options strategy. Example A bull call spread contains two option legs: Buy one call and Sell another call at a different strike with the relevant strategy specifications.
Why it matters to you
Understanding legs makes complex strategies much easier to read. A four leg iron condor is simply a strategy constructed from four individual option positions.
