Isolated Margin
Isolated margin is a margin mode where a specified amount of margin is allocated to an individual position rather than automatically sharing all eligible account collateral with it.
Why it matters to you
Isolated margin allows traders to limit the amount of allocated margin supporting a particular position. If that position deteriorates sufficiently, the loss can generally be contained to the margin assigned to it, subject to the platform's rules. This does not make the trade itself low risk.
