USDT Margined Contract

A USDT margined contract is a derivative contract that uses USDT as the asset for margin and typically for calculating and settling profit and loss. Many crypto perpetual futures markets use this structure.

Why it matters to you

Using a dollar referenced stablecoin as margin makes it easier to understand how much capital is being committed and how much money has been gained or lost. However, the trader still needs to consider the risks associated with the margin asset and the trading platform.
