Timeframe

A timeframe is the period represented by each candle, bar or unit of price data on a chart. Examples include one minute, one hour, four hour, daily and weekly charts.

Why it matters to you

The same market can show different structures on different timeframes. BTC could be: bullish on the weekly chart, ranging on the daily chart, and bearish on the one hour chart. Analysis therefore needs to specify which timeframe is being discussed.
