Stablecoin Reserves
Stablecoin reserves are the assets held to support the obligations and value of a reserve backed stablecoin. Depending on the stablecoin, reserves may include cash, bank deposits, government securities or other permitted assets.
Why it matters to you
Two stablecoins targeting exactly the same $1 price can have very different reserve structures. Understanding the composition, liquidity, custody and verification of those reserves helps investors assess how the token is supported and how redemption may function during periods of market stress.
