Liquidity Sweep
A liquidity sweep occurs when price trades through an area where orders or liquidity are concentrated, triggering or executing that activity as price moves through the level.
Why it matters to you
Previous highs, lows and other obvious levels can contain stops and pending orders. Price may trade through such a level and then either continue or reverse. The sweep itself does not tell traders which outcome must follow.
