Cutting Losses
Cutting losses means reducing or closing a losing position when the trader's risk limit, invalidation condition or trade plan indicates that the position should no longer be held.
Why it matters to you
Options can lose value rapidly because several factors may move against the position simultaneously. Waiting until an option reaches zero is not a risk management strategy.
